Family Tree

James F. Clark, 75, of Elmwood, passed away at 12:35 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2009, at home, with his family by his side.

James was born in Pekin on June 18, 1934, a son of James Peyton and Lois Aileen (Goodwin) Clark. They preceded him in death, along with one sister, Leona.

He is survived by his children, Betty Jean of Pekin, James (Mary) Clark of Princeville, Sandra (Willie) Clement of Peoria, Patricia (Jamie) Clark-Archibald of Elmwood, Charles Clark of Peoria, Barbara (John) Johnson of Peoria and Jackie (Nancy) Clark of St. David; sisters, Jenny Quick of Pekin and Betty (William) Burns of Manito; grandsons, Jeremiah Clark, Christopher Clark, Jonathan Johnson and Nicholas Clark-Archibald; and granddaughters, Shelbey Clark-Archibald and Jessica Jaimes Clark-Archibald, who was named after him; and great grandchildren, Hunter and Chloe Clark.

James was a butcher for Raber Packing, retiring in 1989, after over thirty years of service. He was formerly employed with Callahan Packing and Armors Packing in Peoria.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, and was honorably discharged on August 20th of 1957.

James was just a plain old horseman and loved shoeing and trading horses throughout the Peoria area. If he was in a horse barn, he was happy. He was a great dad and always took care of his family and friends. He loved the ladies, did what he wanted and enjoyed his life. Pappy you will be truly missed. We love you so.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at Clary Funeral Home, 428 West McClure Avenue, in Peoria. Cremation rites will be accorded after the visitation.

The family will also host a reception at his daughter's, Patricia's, home from 2 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2009, at 22103 West Peoria-Galesburg Trail in Elmwood.
